The Rajasthan government has decided to implement a three-tier public discipline modified lockdown from June 2 till further orders to provide relief in commercial and other activities in view of the reduction in the spread of COVID infection in most of the districts and the decline in the positivity rate. The Home Department has issued new guidelines in this regard on Monday.


Giving information in this regard by tweeting, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that exemption for various activities in the guidelines of modified lockdown can be given only at those places where the positivity rate will be less than 10 percent or the use of oxygen, ICU, and ventilator beds is 60. Will be less than the percentage.

In the new guideline, according to the positive case, the gram panchayat and district have been divided into 3 categories Green, Yellow, and Red. Gram Panchayats that do not have a single positive case will be in the Green category, Yellow if there are 5 active cases and less, Yellow will be placed in the Red category if there are more than 5 active cases.

Similarly, a district that does not have a single active case on one lakh population will be classified as Green and Yellow up to 100 active cases on one lakh population and Red category if there are more than 100 active cases.

CM Gehlot said that the rate of infection has come down in the state, but the infection is not completely eradicated yet. Keeping this in mind, in the new guideline, all the people of the state have been expected to ensure effective compliance with the Covid protocol.

In order to ensure the convenience of the general public and the availability of essential services and goods, limited relaxation has been given in various activities. As the number of active cases comes down, the scope of exemption will increase further.
