Telangana logs 2,493 new Covid-19 cases, 3,308 recoveries, 15 deaths

HYDERABAD: Telangana on Tuesday reported 2,493 new Covid-19 cases, taking the infection count to over 5.80 lakh, while the toll stood at 3,296 with 15 more deaths, a government bulletin said.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with318, followed by Nalgonda (165) and Rangareddy (152), the bulletin said.
The state has33,254 active cases and over 94,000 samples were tested.
The total number of cumulative cases in the state stood at5,80,844 while with3,308being cured, the total recoveries were at5,44,294.
Cumulatively, over 1.52 crore samples have been tested.
The samples tested per million population were over 4.10 lakh, the bulletin said.
The case fatality and recovery rates in the state stood at 0.56 per cent and 93.70 per cent, respectively.
