The MC General House today revised the monthly door-to-door garbage collection rates. The measurement unit for the calculation of waste charges in urban residential properties has been changed from square metre to marla/kanal.
Charges
- For less than 2 marla: Rs50
- For 2-10 marla: Rs100
- For 10 marla-1 kanal: Rs200
- For 1-2 kanal: Rs250
For above 2 kanal: Rs350
- Street vendors: Rs50
- Traders: Rs200 and Rs800
- As per the seating capacity, restaurants and hotels: Rs2,000—Rs5,000
- Community centres and marriage palaces: Rs1,000 per event
In rural areas
- Houses: Between Rs50 and Rs200
- Shops: Rs100 | Eateries Rs200
