The camera plugs into your computer, or even your Poly VVX 501, VVX 601, Polycom Trio, or CCX 600 business media desk phones, with no drivers needed. Simply plug and play, and you can broadcast your delightful visage across the video collaboration tool of your choice. The camera is certified for Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and because it is standards-based, it works perfectly with GoToMeeting, BlueJeans, 8x8, and all your other choices.
The camera offers 1080p at 30fps video, 4x zoom, autofocus, an 82-degree field of view, and an electronic pan and tilt to always provide the sharpest image. It supports H.264 AVC, H.264 SVC, and RGB and YUV raw video. iTWire found the picture quality clear, sharp, and responsive.
Yet, it does all this within a diminutive package. The Poly EagleEye Mini is, well, mini. It is not much thicker than the USB plug itself, and you can plug it into your Poly phone, your laptop or computer, or - with the included monitor mount or wall mount and 1.8m cable - place it in a fixed position for your online conferencing and collaboration needs. It’s a camera that grows with you whether you use it in the boardroom, at your desk, or even out and about at a cafe or in the car. It’s a small camera with big capability. iTWire found the camera could be simply pulled out, set up, and put away again, all in mere moments.
To help you know when the camera is in use it includes a LED indicator, and to ensure it’s not activated when you don’t want it to be, it also includes a privacy shutter.
The Poly Eagle Eye Mini is available now. It is $230.84 + delivery on Amazon.com.au.
