LUCKNOW: Covid curfew was lifted in three more UP districts — Jaunpur, Lakhimpur Kheri and Ghazipur — after active cases came down below 600 in them on Tuesday.
Now, 64 UP districts have been unlocked. Additional chief secretary, information, Navneet Sehgal said curbs will continue in the remaining 11 districts, including Lucknow.
On Sunday, the state government had decided to lift Covid curfew in 55 districts which had less than 600 active cases. In the past two days, nine more districts have been added to the list.
Health officials have urged people to continue following the prevention protocols despite getting vaccinated.
“Prevention is the only tool we have in hand. Vaccination is also a part of the prevention plan which depends on following Covid safety protocols,” said ACS, health and family welfare, Amit Mohan Prasad.
