Akamai to strengthen its security portfolio

Hyderabad: Akamai Technologies, a US security, content delivery and cloud service provider, would like to strengthen its security portfolio, which includes untrusted products that will help businesses stay safe. The company will also focus on protecting against fraud by conducting the necessary analyzes.

The company that does a lot of threat research also sees growth opportunities in threat hunting. The company notes that in the past, cyber-attackers have targeted all verticals that handle money. The financial sector remains a largely targeted vertical. Travel and hospitality that have been moderate over the past 12-15 months in the number of attacks due to Covid closures, may soon see an increase once these sectors open.

We have focused on innovation to deliver quality, performance and reliability.We have built-in features in distributed denial-of-service (DDos) protection, web app firewall, bot-management capability, access control and zero trust products.India, which has 25 percent of the company, with 2,000 people, plays a key role in security operations and other important functional areas. ”

Platform capabilities

Akamai platform can create great performance for users, provide security, block attacks, manage bots – all in one platform. The platform offers multiple programmability, allowing users to add programmable features to the company’s platform.

Digital transformation

Akamai Technologies acquired Asavie in October, whose global platform manages the security, performance and access policies for mobile and Internet-connected devices.
