MUMBAI: Remembering his late mother Nargis Dutt on what would have been her 92nd birth anniversary, Sanjay Dutt shared priceless monochromatic pictures from his family album on social media. Missing his mother on the special day, the 61-year-old actor wrote, “There’s nobody else like you. Happy Birthday, Maa.”

Sanjay shared a special bond with his mother, who gave up her film career to bring up her three kids. Sanjay being the eldest was the most pampered.

His sister Namrata recalls, in one of Sanjay Dutt biographies, how Nargis tried to be tough with Sanjay but always ended up giving in to his demands. She adored Sanjay so much that she refused to acknowledge the proofs of his drug addiction. Priya Dutt, Sanjay’s another sister, was quoted in a Sanjay Dutt biography, “Once I heard Mom say to a friend, ‘Why is Sanjay’s room always locked when his friends are there? What is the big deal? I hope he’s not gay’.”

Sanjay had once told in an interview to India Today, “I hope my wife doesn’t pamper my children the way my mother did me. My wife tells me if the kids don’t hate the parents when they are growing up, there is something wrong in their parenting. I am tough to my children when I want to be tough.”

NEW DELHI: Keeping movie buffs on their toes after sharing a captivating announcement a few days ago, makers have dropped the much-awaited teaser of Vidya Balan’s upcoming film ‘Sherni’. ‘A tigress always knows the way!’ and the teaser of Vidya’s movie ‘Sherni’ proves it well.

In the 20-seconds-long intriguing teaser, Vidya is seen strolling in a dense jungle with her team. The actor will be portraying the role of a forest officer in the film. The teaser comes as a surprise to all the Vidya Balan fans who were waiting to see her performance after almost a year. Directed by Amit Masurkar of ‘Newton’ fame, the film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. With Vidya in the lead, ‘Sherni’ is a fictional story that takes us on the journey of a forest officer who strives for balance in a world of man-animal conflict. The teaser has left the audiences even more excited for the trailer, which will release on June 2.

In the light of coronavirus pandemic and millions gasping for breath, bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has decided to do her bit for society. She recently donated oxygen concentrators and distributed ration kits among daily wage labourers in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand.

Urvashi extended a helping hand to the poor and needy daily wagers living in her hometown by providing them aid in terms of food and ration. Urvashi Rautela also contributed her earnings from her song “Versace Baby” to the Covid-19 Relief Fund and The Palestine Red Crescent Society. Urvashi Rautela has initiated an organization for the well being of society and is the owner and founder of her organization named as “Urvashi Rautela Foundation”, which helps the people in need.

The actress who herself hails from Uttrakhand also knew about the situation in Kotdwar and how hard it is for the daily labourers to earn bread, she and her father extended a helping hand and turned out to be a messiah for the needy. Urvashi Rautela even started a YouTube Channel to donate her YouTube revenue to the Covid-19 Relief Funds in India and help the nation fight against this pandemic. The actress was seen distributing food packages along with masks for the poor after cyclone Tauktae hit Mumbai.

The actress even donated oxygen concentrators in Uttarakhand and wishes to do even more for the nation whenever needed. Urvashi is starring in the web series “Inspector Avinash” alongside Randeep Hooda, which is a biopic based on the true story of super cop Avinash Mishra.

A couple of days ago, reports of Amitabh Bachchan buying a new property worth Rs 32 crore was published in media and now, we hear that actor Ajay Devgn has also followed Big B’s footstep. Reports have confirmed that Ajay Devgn has purchased a new abode worth Rs 60 crore in the Juhu area of Mumbai. The bungalow is in the vicinity of Kajol and his current residence Shakti.

It seems like the pandemic has not stopped Bollywood celebs from investing in luxurious properties in and around Mumbai. The new bungalow is spread over the area of 590 sq yards and Ajay’s representative confirmed the report. It is being said that from the past year, Ajay and Kajol have been looking for a new home in Mumbai and found one in their locality itself.

Devgn has already got the possession and started with the renovation work at the new bungalow. The deal was finalised in November last year and the property has been transferred in the name of Ajay and his mother Veena Virendra Devgan.

Ajay plays the lead role in ‘Maidaan’, ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ and ‘Thank God’. Devgn also announced his upcoming directorial ‘Mayday’ in which he plays leading role alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh.

NEW DELHI: Official spokesperson for ace director Anand L. Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions has issued a statement denying all the rumours of actor Kartik Aaryan being dropped from the filmmaker’s upcoming project. After losing Karan Johar’s ‘Dostana 2’, there have been rumours doing the rounds that Kartik has been dropped from the film ‘Freddy’ and Anand’s upcoming project too. However, putting an end to all the rumours, the spokesperson issued a statement on Monday that read, “These are baseless rumours.

We’ve met Kartik for a different film and we’re still talking. We’ve taken another film altogether to Ayushmann and this is a complete mix-up.” In Dharma Production’s ‘Dostana 2’, Kartik had to play the lead with Janhvi Kapoor. As per official reports, some sequences were shot with him in around 20 days of the shoot. Later, Kartik demanded some changes be made in the film, and due to mutual disagreements, the makers dropped the actor from the project. They further issued a statement that read, “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence, we will be recasting Dostana 2.” Another rumour sparked last week that Kartik has been dropped from the film ‘Freddy’ which will be directed by ‘BA Pass’ director Ajay Bahl under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner.

To this, neither Kartik nor any official spokesperson from Red Chillies has responded.

WASHINGTON: After watching the ‘Friends’ reunion, many fans wondered why actors Paul Rudd, Cole Sprouse, and more former guest stars were absent from the HBO Max event. The special’s director Ben Winston weighed in on the subject.According to E! News, the highly anticipated HBO Max event featured cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Mathew Perry along with a number of cameos from notable ‘Friends’ guest stars. However, there were two major standouts who were MIA from the reunion, Paul Rudd and Cole Sprouse. As for why Rudd, who played Phoebe’s husband Mike, and Sprouse, who portrayed Ross’ son Ben, weren’t involved in the reunion, it sounds as though there were just too many stars to fit in with so little time.

Winston, who directed the reunion special, shared with a news outlet, “Well, we couldn’t have everybody on, because it’s only an hour and 45 minutes. And you’ve got to pay attention–the main nub of the show has got to be about the six cast members. So you can’t have too many cameos because of course, there were hundreds of amazing people who were in Friends over the years. Sadly, we couldn’t get everybody in.”
