VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), the unlisted subsidiary of
Eicher Motors, sold 1,223 units in May 2021, up 78.3% as compared with 686 units sold in May 2020.
The company’s total domestic sales at 656 units as against 430 units in May 2020. Its total exports included LMD, HD and Bus, stood at 519 units in May 2021, as per the filing.
Total sales of Eicher Trucks & Buses in the month of May 2021 was 1175 units as compared to 661 units in May 2020, the company added.
The stock ended at Rs2,665.60 down by Rs10.95 or 0.41% from its previous closing of Rs2,676.55 on the BSE.
Meanwhile, Eicher Ltd reported 33.16% yoy growth in consolidated net sales revenues for the Mar-21 quarter at Rs2,940.33cr. On a sequential basis, the top line income was up 3.96% as compared to Rs2,828.26cr in the sequential Dec-20 quarter. The top line got a boost from the Royal Enfield business showing strong growth as well as the VECV JV business.
Operating profit for the quarter was up 57.6% at Rs509.59cr largely on the back of higher EBITDA contribution from the Royal Enfield business as well as lower other income component in the current quarter.
