Naba Kishore Das on Monday reviewed the patient care and other facilities at the Covid-19 hospitals of the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (Vimsar), Burla and the Ashwini Covid-19 Hospital on the premises of the
Sambalpur District Headquarter Hospital (DHH).
Das also enquired about the stock of remdesivir injections besides other consumables at the Covid hospitals during the review meeting held at the Sambalpur DHH. This apart, the minister also sought to know about the ICU and oxygen availability in the Covid hospitals. He instructed the officials and from doctors to pull out all stops to provide the best care to the patients in the hospital.
Among others, district collector (Sambalpur) Subham Saxena, Sambalpur SP B Gangadhar, officials of the health department and nodal officials of the Covid hospitals were present during the meeting.
Speaking to media persons, Das said, "A new Covid hospital will come up in Sambalpur by June 20. Chief minister Naveen Patnaik has already approved the proposal and instructed the officials of the district administration to expedite the work."
