Boat hits 10th Street Bridge wall in Port Huron

Rescue crews responded to a report of a boat hitting the 10th Street Bridge Tuesday in Port Huron.

One person was transported to a hospital after rescue crews responded to a report of a boat striking the 10th Street Bridge wall in Port Huron Tuesday. 

Port Huron Fire Battalion Chief Jeff Tucker said the person was the only one on the boat and appeared to have non-life threatening injuries. He said they are not sure if the person was injured from the boat striking the bridge wall in the Black River. 

Tucker said a private vessel helped tow the boat to shore. 

The bridge didn't suffer any damage and is operational. 

The incident was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m.
