Jio has reintroduced the Rs 98 prepaid voucher that gives short term validity of 14 days. The short term prepaid voucher gives 1.5GB daily data, unlimited voice calls and access to Jio apps. Jio had discontinued its Rs 98 prepaid voucher last year that gave 28 days validity. This time, however, the validity has been reduced to half. After the exhaustion of high speed data, the speed will reduce to 64Kbps. The development was first noted by Only Tech. Jio users who subscribe to this plan get 21GB high-speed data during the validity of the prepaid plan. Jio also has a voucher priced at Rs 101 which gives up to 12GB complementary data with talktime benefits of 1362 IUC minutes.

Now, Airtel and Vi offer data packs at Rs 98 while government-owned BSNL gives data as well as calling benefits at Rs 98.

BSNL Rs 98 voucher: This special tariff voucher from BSNL gives 2GB data per day after which the speed is reduced to 40 Kbps. There is also a Rs 97 prepaid plan that BSNL offers with 2GB daily data which is reduced to 80 Kbps when data is exhausted. The plan also gives unlimited calls with 100 SMS and Lokhun content. BSNL is also giving a Rs 99 plan that gives 22 days of unlimited voice calls.

Airtel Rs 98 data pack: This is a data-only recharge and gives 12 GB data valid till the existing validity.

Vi Rs 98 data pack: This is a double data offer and gives 12GB data for 28 days.

Jio also recently launched new all-in-one prepaid plans under Rs 100 for JioPhone users shortly after announcing the 'Buy 1, Get 1 free' offer for JioPhone prepaid plans. These plans will give users one complimentary plan of the same value for a JioPhone user. These newly introduced JioPhone plans have a validity of 14 days and offer data and calling benefits. The plans are priced at Rs 39 and Rs 69. The Rs 39 prepaid plan offers 100 MB of high-speed data, unlimited calling and 14 days validity. The plan thus offers 1400 MB data spread for 14 days with speed reduced to 64 Kbps after exhaustion of high-speed data.

The second plan launched by Jio for JioPhone users is priced at Rs 69 and offers 0.5 GB high-speed data per day, truly unlimited calling, and 14 days validity. The plan thus offers 7GB data spread over 14 days with speed reduced to 64 Kbps after exhaustion of high-speed data. Jio has also announced that it will provide 300 free minutes of outgoing calls per month to JioPhone users who have not been able to recharge their Jio plans due to the ongoing pandemic.
