Youth rapes 20-year-old girl and her minor sister in Rajkot, booked

RAJKOT: A 22-year-old youth was booked for raping a 20-year-old girl and her minor sister in Rajkot city. According to Rajkot city police, the girl from Mochi Bazaar lodged a complaint against Sohan Thakor, who lives in the same neighbourhood, for raping her and her 14-year-old sister for the past two months.
Rajkot city's A division police booked the accused under various sections of Indian Penal Code and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act and are searching for the accused who went into hiding.
“Sohan and a 20-year-old survivor were having an affair for the past two years and luring her with promises of marriage he also developed physical relationship with her. A few days ago she came to know that the accused was also raping her sister for the past two months by threatening her. The girl told her family members about it and approached the police on Sunday,” police said.
