Kerala: Indian Cobra snakelet pays surprise visit to a home, scares Covid patients in quarantine

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An Indian cobra snakelet that slithered its way into a house where three Covid positive patients were quarantined triggered mild panic in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday.
The incident happened in a house at Sasthamangalam. The snakelet was found in the bathroom of the house. The patient who spotted the snakelet panicked and rang up a DYFI worker who in turn contacted the control room set up by MLA V K Prasanth.
The volunteer team at the control room got in touch with the snake catching team of forest department. While the team waited for the snake catcher, the patients alerted that one of them was fainting since glucose levels dropped. Soon Dr Yasin, technical assistant AkhilBhuvaneendran and volunteer Arun reached the house. Meanwhile snake catcher Baavan also turned up, he wore a PPE kit and went in to catch the snakelet.
In the meantime, the doctor and his assistants took care of the patient who needed medical care. The snakelet aged around 3 months was caught by the team of forest department and the patients were also relieved.
