Pune: PMC issues new guidelines for liquor, non-essential shops; here's the full list

Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol on Monday issued a revised list of guidelines for liquor shops, non-essential shops, e-commerce companies, etc.

Check out the new guidelines:

1. All standalone shops dealing in non-essential items in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) have been allowed to remain open on weekdays between 7 am and 2 pm from Tuesday, June 1.

2. Liquor shops have also been permitted to operate between 7 am to 2 pm on all days.

3. Restaurants and bars are only allowed parcel and home delivery services.

4. The shops in malls or shopping complexes will not be allowed to open.

5. E-commerce sites have been permitted to home deliver essential as well as non-essential products.

6. Shops selling essential items have been allowed to operate between 7 am and 2 pm on all days.

7. There will be a strict curfew and people will be allowed to go out of their homes after 3 pm. However, those having medical emergencies or valid reasons can step out.

8. All government offices, other than those involved in essential or COVID-19 related work, are allowed to operate with 25% staff.

9. All agriculture related shops, APMC markets are allowed to open on all days from 7 am to 2 pm.

This order will be applicable for 10 days, officials said.

Meanwhile, Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol said people must not let their guard down due to relaxation in some restrictions and should continue to adhere to norms strictly to ensure the outbreak is contained completely.

Besides, Pune city on Monday reported 180 COVID-19 cases, taking the overall tally to 4,69,927, while 24 deaths took the toll to 8,256.
