Actress Sambhavna Seth, who lost her father earlier this month, has now sent a legal notice to Delhi's Jaipur Golden Hospital, where her father was admitted after he tested positive for COVID-19.
The former Bigg Boss contestant had blamed the hospital authorities for 'medically murdering' her father.
In an interview with ETimes, Sambhavana said that she has sent a notice to the hospital for deficiency in services, medical negligence, lack of proper care and attention, and non-responsive behaviour.
She stated that her father was admitted to on April 30 and assured by the hospital staff that he will be well-taken care of. However, when her brother went to visit him, he was left aghast to find out that his father's hands were tied with the staff claiming that it was to ensure he doesn't remove the saline supply.
On May 7, Sambhavna's brother called her and stated that he has been put on oxygen support. Certain that something's a miss, Sambhavna immediately flew down to Delhi.
She was shocked to see her father's hands and legs tied to the video and had also shot a video to highlight the issue but was forced by the hospital staff to delete it.
Stating that she has immense respect for the medical fraternity who have been tirelessly serving people amid the pandemic, Sambhavna mentioned during the interview that she understands they are overworked during these times but she has had "a different experience with this particular hospital."
With a rise in COVID-19 cases, India has been facing a shortage of beds and oxygen cylinders in hospitals. Sambhavna also went through a tough time and she had sought help from her fans and followers to find a bed for her father in April.
The actress currently stays in Mumbai with her husband. Sambhavna rose to fame with Bigg Boss 2. The actress, who has appeared in many Bhojpuri films, currently runs her own YouTube channel by the name Sambhavna Seth Entertainment.
