India GDP Data LIVE Updates: The official data released by the government shows that the country's gross domestic product (GDP) has contracted by 7.3 percent in the financial year 2020-21. In the fourth quarter of FY21, however, a GDP growth of 1.6 percent was recorded. Meanwhile,CEA Krishnamurthy Subramanian said the economic impact of the second COVID-19 wave is not likely to be very large.

India GDP Data LIVE Updates: The National Statistics Office (NSO) has released the provisional full-year Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data for fiscal year 2020-21. The data released by the government shows that the GDP has contracted, for the first time since 1980-81. A contraction of 7.3 percent was reported in financial year 2020-21, the NSO data showed. In the fourth quarter of
FY21, the GDP has grown by 1.6 percent. Rating agency ICRA had estimated that India's GDP to grow by 2 percent in Q4FY21, and shrink by 7.3 percent in the full fiscal year.
