Hyderabad: City-based NGO Helping Hands Foundations has acted to provide telemedicine and related services to the Telangana Forest Division, as a large number of employees contract it COVID-19, the NGO said on Sunday.
“Forest department, which has encountered more than 300 COVID cases and 21 deaths, we have committed to providing online telemedicine and related services to their 5,000 staff and family members, ”HHF said in a statement.
Furthermore, HHF will also provide assistance in five government nodals COVID-19 helps facilitate admissions, in addition to providing beds to staff in the 50-Bed Insulation Center recently erected by the foundation.
The foundation also agreed to provide ambulance services within GHMC limits for COVID sign emergencies as part of the MOU.
In a video call addressed by R. Shoba, IFS and Chief Guardian of Forest, HHF discussed with all relevant officials of the department about the modality of the support system for the forest department.
DFOs of districts will be the nodal officer at district level, the foundation said, and MJ Akbar IFS, CCF of Hyderabad Circle, will be the overall nodal officer.
