What do you guys think of this beginner programm?

Hello everyone, I am planning on going to the gym for the first time next week and was searching around for a good beginners programm. I found the ones in the stickies, but when reviewing them online I read that they weren't great (not enough chest, to slow advencement in weight). I was worried that I wouldnt maximally milk the newbie gains, so I started seaching and found this programm. What do you guys think of it? Any advies is greatly appriciated, cheers!

Not sure how that would be quicker in advancing weights, but do whatever you prefer.

The biggest issue with most novice programs is far to forced and quick weight increases lol.

But the overall layout of this is fine, I'd prefer to see a pause squat for the 2nd squat.
And an RDL on that day as well.

Or front/goblet squat as opposed to paused squats, as an option, and back extensions OR RDLs.

Sorry, just copy pasted it directly from the site. It says 'Add 5 lbs once you complete all sets at the top of your rep range'. I dont really understand what that means, but I interpret it that if you can do a excersise fully, but a extra 5 lbs. I dont fully understand it as english isnt my first language.

You might want to pick a program you understand. Or if you’ve never lifted a weight before, don’t try to outthink every program.

In this case, the one you picked will likely progress you slower in weight lifted than the ones you said don’t advance weights quickly enough. That’s fine, but just not consistent with your stated objective.

thank you for your response. I dont have any critisim of the beginner programms in the sticky, it is just what i read online. Do you just recommond to pick fierce 5 or all pro over this one? The programm that I linked in the beginning was a programm the youtuber will tennyson wished he did when he started, and I watch a lot of his videos so I thought his programm would be good too.

If you’ve literally never stepped foot in a gym before I think you’d do well advancing on F5 for at least a few months (since you said that’s a goal), but then you may want to look to something else or the intermediate version when/if your progress starts to slow.

There are other good programs out there too. Just learn the lifts, build some strength and get in the habit of lifting. Don’t worry about max gains etc.

But do whatever you prefer. The program you listed is fine, but just will move you forward slower at the start.

I'd agree on a non novice program..
But back extension don't teach hip hinging and fronts arent much of a back squat assistance, though excellent in their own right.

I did go to the guy around like 10 times a few years back to practice form of all the lifts. It is just mind numbing how much programms and information there is on the internet, and I dont want to commit to a programm that would be right.

You’re not committed for life to any program if you decide it’s not working for you.

Yeah I know, but you read everywhere that you have to stick to a programm. And I would like to make the most of the newbie gains.

Stick with the Fierce 5. There are intermediate versions of it you can advance to.
