Hyderabad: ChildFund India, in collaboration with Project HOPE, is taking up medical supplies initiative in different States, including Telangana.
One such distribution initiative was inaugurated by Dr Swaragyalaxmi, DM&HO, Ranga Reddy at Hafeezpet Urban Primary Health center in Hyderabad. ChildFund India distributed the medical supplies including to 140 oxygen flow meters, 28 oxygen concentrators (5LPM), 350 oxygen concentrator masks, 350 non-rebreather masks, 56 BiPAP machines, 14 glucometers and 2500 N95 nasks to seven Urban Primary Health Centres.
This initiative is a part of the overall response ChildFund India has devised to fight the second wave of Covid-19 across 15 States it works in, a press release said.
Neelam Makhijani, country director, ChildFund India said, “By virtue of our presence on ground, as the second wave hit the vulnerable communities, ChildFund India collaborated with Project HOPE to ensure that the local primary health care centers have the necessary medical equipment to save lives at risk. Our next step is to protect our children from the impact of Covid by leading a vaccination drive.”
