Silchar, May 30: Cachar deputy commissioner Keerthi Jalli launched Arogya Cachar scheme on Sunday.
Jalli launched the scheme in the presence of CEO i/c Health, Jt DHS, Assistant Commissioner, doctor on call, DPM NHM, DPM ASRLM, DDSM among others.
This will be a centralised public grievance redressal system for all Covid needs even during late nights. This is in addition to the block level efforts of teleconsultation, a release stated.
The district administration has been working on war footing to fight against Covid by adopting the process of large scale Covid testing, surveillance and vaccination.
A massive Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) drive along with RTPCR will be started at all tea gardens of the district from May 31 to detect and diagnose Covid patients.
In addition it was announced that Project Aastha initiated in phase 1 of Covid in Cachar has been reinitiated for tele counselling patients and families who have been feeling extremely anxious and worrying during this time of pandemic, a release stated.
SMCH Psychiatry department has partnered for the same and anybody in need of some mental health counselling can contact the numbers. Deputy commissioner Keerthi Jalli added that “The war room will cater to the grievance redressal system, ambulance operation besides counselling. It will be connected to various components of the district like disaster management and police. The facility of 24 hour call service by doctors will also available in the central command room of Cachar district”
