Nashik, May 30 (UNI) As part of the Congress’ statewide agitation, Maharashtra Revenue Minister and senior party leader here on Sunday held protest against the BJP-led government at Centre which completed seven years.
Addressing the press, Mr Thorat said, “The Modi government has failed to address the Corona crisis as the central government did not seemed serious about it. The bodies were floating in river Ganga.”
He further said, “During the last seven years, many promises made by the Modi government have not been fulfilled. What happened to the promises of depositing Rs 15 lakh in the accounts and bringing black money from abroad to India.”
“The people are suffering from inflation in the country. Petrol has crossed Rs 100 while cylinder prices have gone up to Rs 900. Edible oil has also reached Rs 200,” he pointed out.
He continued, “Inflation had peaked during the Modi government. The anti-labor law considers employers not workers. Attempts were made to suppress the farmers' agitation in Delhi. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's suggestion, Corona crisis should be taken care of in advance, was ignored.”
