BENGALURU: After drones, the state administration will now be using aircraft to spray disinfectants to clean Bengaluru air of bacteria, viruses, fungus and other disease-spreading elements.
Starting Monday, for three days between 8am and 10am, city’s thickly populated areas like Chickpet, Krishnarajendra Market , Shivajinagar and Jayanagar will be sprayed with organic disinfectants.
Disclosing this to reporters, revenue minister R Ashoka said market places are still witnessing congregation of people as farmers come to these places during morning hours and it has become imperative to keep these areas well sanitised.
The minister said since certified organic concentrates are being used, it won’t be harmful to the public.
Aerialworks Aero LLP, the proponents of this initiative,will be using
Airlens Minus Corona and Sugaradhana organic antimicrobial concentrate in this pilot project, wherein chemicals will be sprayed from low altitude.
