RK Ranjan launches 2nd vaccination centre in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC

Imphal, May 29 2021: Timely vaccination is one of the most important precautionary measures against COVID-19 and all should contribute to ramp up the vaccination drive.

The above statement was made by MP of Lok Sabha, Dr RK Ranjan while launching the vaccination programme at Ayush Hospital in Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai today.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that taking the vaccine will help in boosting one's immune system and will help in protecting oneself from COVID-19.He continued that Union Minister Kiren Rijiju who is in charge of Ministry Youth Affairs and Sports and Ayush has directed all Ayush hospitals to start functioning as Covid Care Centres in a bid to effectively fight against the deadly pandemic.

MP of Rajya Sabha and titular king Leisemba Sanajaoba who attended the event said that early detection of COVID-19 and- taking up preventive measures accordingly will help in combating the pandemic effectively.

He continued that fears and myths doing rounds regarding the COVID-19 vaccination is one of the major causes for the delay in the vaccination drive which was started on January 16 this year.

But now, everyone is aware of the benefits of the vaccine and are thronging the vaccination centres to get vaccinated, he added.

He appealed to all to adhere to guidelines and SOPs issued by the Government in the vaccination centres to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 .

'Seva hi Sangathan' and 'Mera Booth Corona Mukt' campaigns were also conducted in the Ayush Hospital organised by BJP Kisan Morcha, Manipur Pradesh.

Mutum Dineshwar Singh, vice president of BJP Kisan Morcha, Manipur Pradesh and in charge of Imphal West district and Imphal Central expressed satisfaction on the opening of second Covid vaccination centre in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Constituency apart from PHC Mekola and appealed to all to help in advancing the vaccination drive.

Further he appealed to the Government and authorities concerned to look into the matter of irregular distribution of rice under NFSA in the constituency at the earliest.

National secretary of BJP Kisan Morcha, Manipur Pradesh, Kh Jivan, general secretary of BJP Manipur Pradesh, P Premanand Meitei, Adhyaksya of Imphal West district RK Taruni Devi and president of BJP Imphal West district, Phoni Meitei attended the event among others.

This is the second vaccination site in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC with the first one being at Mekola.
