RAIPUR: Daily Covid-19 cases continue to be on the decline in state. As many as 4,961 patients recovered against single-day caseload of 2,840 on Friday. While in Raipur, in random antigen testing at commercial complex Raipur city, all 1300 people reported negative in past two days. Chhattisgarh’s cumulative tally has increased to 9,65,208 with 46,932 active cases. With 67 deaths on Friday the death toll has risen to 12,915.

As per medical bulletin, 56 new patients, 11 deaths were reported from Durg district. In Rajnandgaon, 40 new patients and no death was reported. Raipur reported 140 new patients and five death. In Bilaspur, 63 new patients, 2 deaths were reported. In Raigarh, 168 people were found Covid positive and nine deaths were reported. Raigarh recorded highest tally of active cases at 3,723. While Koriya reported second highest tally of 3,637 active cases in Chhattisgarh. Sarguja reported 260 new patients on Friday with five covid deaths reported on the same day. Active tally of the region stands at 3,379.
In vaccination of 18-44 years of age group, as many as 2,501 people were inoculated till 5 pm on Saturday across state. Besides, Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission and the Social Welfare Department are jointly organising virtual Yoga classes from May 31 The classes will be available on the Facebook page of the and YouTube channel.The classes will be live in two sessions i.e, from 6:00 am to 7:00 am and 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. After the session, the recording will be uploaded on social media.
