Telangana Govt extends statewide lockdown for 10-more days

Hyderabad, May 29 (UNI) Amid the second wave of covid-19, the Telangana government on Sunday evening decided to extend the ongoing statewide lockdown for 10-more days from May 31.

The decision was taken at the lengendy state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao held at Pragathi Bhavan, CMs camp office here.

In view of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, initially the lockdown was imposed on May 12 and later it was extended till May 30,2021.

The cabinet also decided to give 7-hours relaxation during the lockdown from 0600 hours to 1300 hours.

For those, who went out to return home, a grace period till 1400 hours would be given, but the lock down would be strictly implemented from 1400 hours to 0600 hours, the next day.

The lockdown was supposed to end on May 30.
