Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The 40-year-old woman Urmila Meena was taking the body of her brother-in-law to a water body to dispose of it, however, it slipped off the bike and fell on road in Amarnath colony. The body of Mohan Meena was later found by police on Friday and the murder case was cracked.
The accused involved her two minor children and tenant in the crime, police have booked all four. City superintendent of police (CSP) Virendra Mishra said the woman’s two minor children along with tenet Rajesh Bisoriya have been booked for the murder. The Kolar police produced the accused woman to the court and sent her to jail, added the CSP.
During the police investigation, it was found that the woman had killed her brother-in-law Mohan Meena, 30, with the help of a tenant. The accused woman claimed that she killed Mohan as he had ill intentions towards her daughter
Police said the woman and her tenant were taking the body on a bike to dispose it of near Kaliyasot but when on the way the body slipped and fell off, the duo fled leaving the body on the road. Next day, the resident spotted the abandoned body being eaten by pigs and stray dogs, they reported the matter to police and a case was registered thereafter.
The Kolar police said the woman also involved her children in the murder of Mohan on Thursday. They hit him with a rod and after he died they planned to dispose of the body. She was apprehensive that people would question her if Mohan was not seen for long and thus she decided not to bury him but to dispose of his body in waters.
Woman had killed her husband too, buried body in house
Police said the woman has confessed to have killed her husband Ranjeet as she wanted to live with his brother-in-law Mohan. The incident took place five years ago. The woman along with Mohan had strangulated Ranjeet with a wire and killed him, said police. After killing him they buried his body inside the house. The woman had threatened her children, a 10-year-old boy and 11-year-old girl, to keep mum. She would tell others that Ranjeet has gone to Mandideep as he has been offered a job there. Police have exhumed the corpse from the house.
