Head of Kutch royal family dies

Rajkot: Maharav Pragmalji III, head of the Kutch royal family died after a short illness on Friday morning at his palace in Bhuj. He was 85.
He is survived by his wife. Prince Indrajeetsinh Jadeja, one of the three heirs appointed by Pragmalji himself, informed mediapersons that the Maharav passed away in wee hours on Friday after a short illness. His funeral procession from Ranjit Vilas Palace to the crematorium was held with a police band.
Kutch MP Vinod Chavda said, “The royal family has been working for Kutch’s development since long. It has served the Kutchi people and I express my deep condolences to the family.”
