Batteries stolen, cam on e-way defunct for 50 days

Greater Noida: One of the cameras installed on the Yamuna Expressway has been defunct for over 50 days ever since its battery box and other equipment were stolen. Officials of Jaypee Infratech, which manages the expressway, have lodged a complaint against two security guards who were deployed there on April 4.
The complaint was, however, lodged on May 24. Asked about the delay, Satish Kumar Chahar, the control room officer for Jaypee, said,
“The complaint was erroneously sent to Dankaur police station, when we should have sent it to Ecotech I police station. It was later sent to Ecotech I police station and an FIR was registered,” he added. TNN
