DIPHU, May 29: Dillai Head Branch of Karbi Students Association (KSA) said that miscreants from Nagaland have encroached on reserve forest areas till Sangti Lankso inside Karbi Anglong. The encroachers have come inside Karbi Anglong up to 10 km upto Balijan (Forest) Sub-Beat where about 30 houses have already been constructed. The encroachers are cutting down the forest cover area inside Karbi Anglong.

The encroachers have reached up to Hatoka inside Karbi Anglong which is said to be a Reserve Forest, but just in name as it is already encroached by miscreants from Nagaland and cleared of the forest cover.

Miscreants from Nagaland continued to encroach land in Daldali Reserve Forest in Karbi Anglong for the past several years.
