She said that the National award winning lyricist asked her to co-operate and threatened to ruin her career. Though she came out and spoke about it openly none of her colleagues or friends made a comment or at least supported her in any way. There were also voices raised against her.

Today she took to her twitter handle to express her bad feeling about vairamuthu receiving the popular ONV literary award. She wrote. "Mr. vairamuthu gets the fifth ONV literary award instituted by the ONV Cultural Academy. Wow. Late Mr ONV Kurup would be proud."

She criticized the jury for presenting the esteemed award to vairamuthu who has been allegedly accused by 17 women of sexual harassment during the metoo movement. Now the question is, "is chinmayi targeting vairamuthu intentionally?" people who know her personally and professionally say that she is a very passionate girl and is not someone who wants to make the headlines just for the heck of it. Time will reveal who is on the right side and who is not.
