Indore: With strong winds lashing the city due to cyclone Yaas, faults in electricity lines are occurring frequently which is leading to power outage.
For the convenience of people, Madhya Pradesh Western Region Power Distribution Company on Saturday released a list containing telephone numbers of different zones and mobile phone numbers of engineers there.
The company stated that consumers can call up the phone numbers in the list if they have any power outage issue.
The need to release such a list arisen as the number of power outage complaints has increased due to which many consumers would find West Discom call centre number 1912 engaged all the time.
West Discom city superintendent engineer Kamesh Srivastava said and consumers can lodge personal complaints about power shutdown at the call centre 1912 and electricity company App Urjas also. “The work of taking cognisance of complaints lodged at the call centre and Urjas app is done 24X7,” he added.
The power company has also appealed to consumers to be patient towards problem resolution during rainy day and maintain adequate distance from electric wires, transformers and electricity poles.
