Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): All national parks in Madhya Pradesh will open from June 1, said forest minister Vijay Shah on Saturday. This is a much required step, he added. National parks remain close during rainy season. Therefore, they are being opened for one month from June 1-30, 2021.

“This will provide reprieve to people who were confined inside their homes during the lockdown,” he said. The decision was taken after a meeting with chief minister and forest officials on Saturday.

The national parks are being opened to provide employment to people dependent on parks and tourism. They including tourist guides, drivers and others. “Moreover, people also will get fresh oxygen in the forests,” he added.
