AMBALA: Ambala district reported four deaths due to
Covid-19 on Saturday.
Ambala also reported 80 positive cases and the total case tally now reached 29,323 with 766 active cases, said district civil surgeon
Dr Kuldeep Singh.
Dr Singh said that as many as 232 patients were discharged, taking the recovery count to 28,082 with a recovery rate of 95.77%, he said.
He said
Mullana reported 23 cases, followed by Ambala City (14),
Chourmastpur (13), Shahzadpur (12),
Ambala Cantt (9), Barara (7), and
Naraingarh (2).
He added that a total of 475 deaths have been reported in the district so far, with the mortality rate of 1.59%.
He said the health and family welfare department in Ambala has so far given 4,10,450 doses of Covid-19 vaccines.
“So far, we have collected 3,98,101 samples for Covid-19 testing in Ambala, of which, 3,38,429 are
RT-PCR samples and 59,672 are antigen testing kit samples. In Ambala, we have collected 3,52,926 samples per 10 lakh population, said Dr Singh.
