BHOPAL: Trials for a cocktail antibodies injection, which costs around Rs 60,000, began on Covid patients at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose (NSCB) Medical College, Jabalpur, on Friday. Fifty vials have been supplied to NSCB Medical College for the trials. Mostly mild and moderate symptomatic Covid patients will be given the dose and their health condition will be minutely monitored.
A similar kind of trials will begin at more medical colleges. Preparations are going on at GMC, Bhopal, for the trials. Doctors said that preparations had been made for such trials.
What is antibody cocktail?
* An antibody cocktail is a mix of two or more unique biological drugs that act like human antibodies to help fight off infection
* The drug comprises two antibodies- casirivimab and imdevimab
