Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda, who was recently seen in Salman Khan's Eid film 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai', is the latest name to have come up in the string of controversies that are occurring as old videos of celebrities are going viral where they can be seen using casteist slurs.
An old video of the actor went viral on the internet, on Wednesday, wherein he is telling a sexist joke on former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati.
Sharing the clip on Twitter, a user slammed the actor and wrote, "If this does not explain how casteist and sexist this society is, especially towards Dalit women, i don’t know what will. the ‘joke’, the audacity, the crowd. randeep hooda, top bollywood actor talking about a dalit woman, who has been the voice of the oppressed."
The video has since gone viral on Twitter causing a lot of outrage and anger. Thousands of people are taking to social media to criticise the actor calling him casteist, sexist and misogynist.
Along with the criticism. the hashtag #ArrestRandeepHooda is trending nonstop on Twitter. Many are asking for legal action to be taken against the actor.
