West Orange-Stark HS to host free construction training

The Golden Triangle Empowerment Center is sponsoring free National Center for Construction Education and Research curriculum training at West Orange-Stark High School beginning June 21st.

The program offers training in:

· Construction site safety orientation

· Introduction to pipefitting

· Introduction to carpentry

· Introduction to basic rigging

· Introduction to scaffolding

· Introduction to material handling

The course runs for 10 weeks, and classes will be held Monday through Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Applicants must be 18 years or older to participate. Applications can be done in-person at West Orange-Stark High School or online at gtec-triangle.org
