Kuldeep Yadav reacts on Indian team snub, says ‘tough to choose between Chahal, Jadeja and me’

‘Always tough to choose between me, Chahal and Jadeja’: Kuldeep Yadav on team management- India spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who is out of action for some time in cricket, including IPL, accepted that it’s difficult for the team management to pick between him, R Jadeja and Yuzvendra Chahal in the limited-overs due to Jadeja’s all-round abilities.

“It depends on what the team wants. Team combination matters a lot and I personally feel Jadeja brings a lot of depth in the batting. He scores both with bat and ball. So, it is always tough to choose between him and us,” Kuldeep told Crictracker.

“I just think I should be playing more games because when you don’t do that, you tend to lack both rhythm and confidence. While being in regular touch, you are always high. the last two years were difficult and very different for me. I didn’t get a chance due to the team combination and sometimes you need to sacrifice your spot as well,” he added.

“However, some games didn’t go in my favour but you always need to work hard and keep the momentum going, your time will probably come,” Kuldeep stressed further.

It is notable that Kuldeep Yadav had last played for India in the ODI series against England but went wicketless. Subsequently, he was dropped for the final One-Day International. He also missed the Test matches in Ahmedabad against the Englishmen.

It is notable that Kuldeep Yadav did not get a game for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2021 Phase 1.

On the other hand, R Jadeja is making full use of his opportunities. Despite missing England tour of India due to a thumb injury, the allrounder produced some match-winning performances for Chennai Super Kings that left India and RCB skipper awestruck.
