Singareni employee booked for posting offensive comments against KCR

Peddapalli: Godavarikhani police have registered a case against Punnam Ramchander, an employee of Singareni, for posting offensive comments on social media against Prime Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and his family members, as well as encouraging disputes between closets.

A resident of Power House Colony in Godavarikhani, Ramchander works as an excavation operator in Medipalli’s open pit project. Four days ago, he posted a message on the WhatsApp group in which he abused the prime minister and his family members using foul language. His comments were intended to provoke tension between different roles and groups.

Telangana Boggu Ghani Karmika Sangham (TBGKS) representatives lodged a complaint with the Godavarikhani police on Wednesday.

On the basis of the complaint, the police on Thursday registered the case against Ramchander in terms of sections 153 (A), 504, 505 (2), 506 IPC, 67 of the IT Act.

God AVARIKHAN, ACP V Umender, said that some people post offensive comments on social media for their personal benefit. He warned against strict action against people trying to disrupt public peace by commenting on individuals or groups on social media platforms.
