Belgrade 2: Novak Djokovic in blistering form ahead of French Open
World No.1 Novak Djokovic has defeated Andrej Martin in three sets to reach the finals of the Belgrade 2 competition. He won the match 6-1, 4-6, 6-0 after losing the second set to reach the final spot ahead of the Paris showpiece event- French Open 2021. The ongoing tournament will help Djokovic keep the winning momentum to compete for consecutive grand slams at Roland Garros 2021.
Earlier, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic had defeated Argentina’s Federico Coria 6-1,6-0 in the quarterfinals of the ATP Belgrade Open 2021 to enter the semifinals. Djokovic just dropped one game in the match. The Serbian smashed three aces in the match while on the contrary, Coria failed to hit a single ace. Djokovic entered the quarterfinals after thrashing Mats Moraing 6-2 7-64 while Coria reached the quarterfinals after beating Marko Topo 4-6 6-2 6-0 and Pablo Cuevas 6-3 6-2.
