Indore: Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission has taken cognizance in the matter of taking home isolated asymptomatic patients to COVID Care Centre, forcibly. The Commission has sought a report from the Divisional Commissioner-Indore and from the Indore Municipal Corporation’s commissioner in seven days.

The commission has mentioned that officials have taken over 277 patients to CCC including those who were asymptomatic and even those who recovered from COVID infection.

Administrative and Indore Municipal Corporation officials were ‘forcing’ patients to go to CCC even after completing 14 days of the isolation.

Free Press raised the issue and published the ordeal which people across the city were facing.

Meanwhile, MPHRC also took cognizance over the case of treatment of COVID patients by a quack in Chandravatiganj of Sanwer. A 12th pass man treated patients while posing as a BHMS doctor. The Commission has asked Collector and Regional Director, Health to submit the report.
