Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who often jets off to the UAE with his family on vacations, has now been granted the UAE Golden Visa. Informing his well-wishers and followers on social media, the actor made the announcement and also thanked the authorities for giving him the visa. He tweeted, 'Honoured to have received a golden visa for the UAE in the presence of Major General Mohammed Al Marri, Director General of @GDRFADUBAI. Thanking him along with the @uaegov for the honour.' He also thanked Hamad Obaidalla for his support. He continued, 'Also grateful to Mr. Hamad Obaidalla, COO of @flydubai for his support'. Alongside the note, he also shared his photographs with the UAE authorities. Reports suggest that Dutt is the first Indian mainstream actor to have received the UAE golden visa. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had in November last year approved the issuance of a 10-year golden visa for professionals in a bid to keep the 'talented people and great minds' in the Gulf country and help in nation-building. Dubai, as we mentioned earlier, is close to Sanjay Dutt's heart. Even last year, he flew down there to be with his wife Maanayata and his kids after he emerged victorious in his battle against the big C. He spent a lovely time there. Meanwhile, his professional front seems very well sorted. The actor has 'KGF: Chapter 2', 'Prithviraj' and 'Bhuj: The Pride of India' in his kitty. At the moment, too, he's spending time with family in Dubai. While he's not as active as his wife on social media, he makes sure to stay connected and share his thoughts with his fans. Taking his superstar father's fans down memory lane, Sanjay recently dropped an old black-and-white photo of him with his father, popularly known as 'Dutt Sahab' in the industry, while remembering him on his death anniversary.
