Imphal, May 26 2021: 7 days total lockdown has been imposed at Pukhao Terapur in Imphal East district with immediate effect since the locals have developed Covid related symptoms over the past few days.

Regarding the issue, Pukhao Terapur Covid Task Force, the Northern Development Youth Club, Village Development Committee and Women Welfare Association held an emergency meeting today at the temporary office of Covid Task Force and resolved to impose the 7 days total lockdown and have asked the locals to be under home quarantine to contain the further spread of the virus, said a press release by Covid Task Force.

During the seven days lockdown, the Covid Task Force will take up the initiative of providing the essential items at the doorstep of each household.

Further the locals sought the attention of the Government and authorities concerned into the matter.
