Petrol and diesel rates in India have gone up today, on May 27, 2021, for the fourteenth time this month. In the national capital Delhi, petrol price has reached ₹ 93.68 per litre, after receiving a hike of 24 paise, whereas diesel rates have gone up by 29 paise to ₹ 84.61 per litre. At the same time, in Mumbai, petrol has almost reached ₹ 100 mark, currently standing at ₹ 99.94, after receiving a 23 paise hike compared to a day before. Diesel, on the other hand, saw a hike of 30 paise, and now costs ₹ 91.87 per litre.

However, the price of petrol in Jaipur has already reached ₹ 100.17 per litre becoming the newest Indian city to join the ₹ 100+ club. At the same time, diesel price in the city stands at ₹ 93.36 per litre. However, Jaipur's not the first city to cross the ₹ 100 per litre mark in India. Several non-metro regions in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra have already crossed that milestone. In Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar district, petrol and diesel have touched ₹ 104.67 per litre and ₹ 97.49 a litre, respectively. In the Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh, petrol has breached ₹ 104.35 per litre mark and diesel retail at ₹ 95.46 a litre. Other regions where petrol prices are above ₹ 100 per litre include Jaisalmer, Banswara, Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Rewa, Ratnagiri, Aurangabad, and Parbhani.

As for the other metros, today, in Chennai petrol prices stand at ₹ 95.28 per litre, receiving a hike of 22 paise, whereas diesel rates in the city touched at ₹ 89.39 per litre, after a hike of 28 paise. In Kolkata, petrol prices stand at ₹ 93.72 per litre, after a price hike of 23 paise, while diesel rates touched ₹ 87.47 per litre, receiving a hike of 30 paise. At the same time, in Bengaluru, petrol prices reached ₹ 96.80 per litre after a hike of 25 paise, while diesel prices reached ₹ 89.70 per litre receiving a hike of 31 paise from a day before.
