India skipper Virat Kohli failed to reach the top position in ICC ODI rankings as Pakistan captain and middle-order batsman Babar Azam is still on top position.
India opener Rohit Sharma is currently at the third place in the batting chart, while fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is at fifth place in bowling chart in the latest ICC ODI player rankings released on Wednesday.
Babar Azam is on top with 865 points while Kohli and Sharma were at second and third place respectively with 857 and 825 points.
Bumrah was at the fifth position with 690 points, while New Zealand's Trent Boult was leading the chart with 737 points. Bangladesh's spinner Mehidy Hasan is at second place with 725 points followed by Afghanistan's Mujeeb Ur Rahman (708) and Kiwi pacer Matt Henry (691).
Bangladesh off-spinner Hasan became only the third bowler from his country to be ranked among the top two after a fine showing in the first two matches of their ongoing World Cup Super League series against Sri Lanka.
Hasan has gained three places to reach the second position after claiming four for 30 and three for 28 bowling with the new ball.
Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan had grabbed the top position in 2009 for the first time, while left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak managed to finish at second place in 2010.
