
More than three weeks after Beaumont Police arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a homicide, a Jefferson County Jury on Wednesday indicted him on suspicion of murder.
A grand jury indicted Bradley Konning, 24, for the murder of Lizeth Carpio, his 32-year-old wife, according to a Jefferson County indictment documents.
Beaumont police found Carpio’s body April 29 outside of her home in with an upper-body gunshot wound the 2500 block of McFaddin Street in Beaumont. Beaumont EMS pronounced her dead on the scene.
During Beaumont PD’s investigation, they found a witness who said she was on the phone with Carpio before Konning arrived to Carpio’s home, according to a probable cause affidavit. The witness advised Carpio to call the police. The last thing the witness heard while on the phone with Carpio, was “Bradley (Konning) is here,” before the phone disconnected, according to a probable cause affidavit.
He was arrested in late April
Konning is being held on $1 million bond.
