Jaunpur, May 27 (UNI) A truck driver and his cleaner were killed while the driver of a dumper was critically injured after a head on collission near Fatehganj market under Baxa police station area on Jaunpur-Prayagraj highway on late Wednesday night.
Police here on Thursday said that after the collision, the truck caught fire in which the the driver and cleaner were burnt alive before they could be rescued.
The dumper was loaded with mud was going towards Jaunpur from Machilishahr. The driver of the dumper was critically injured.
The deceased driver was identified as Deep Narain (27) of Deoria and cleaner Jitendra Chauhan (26) of Maharajganj.
After the accident the highway was blocked for 3 hours.
