Hyderabad: AstraZeneca and Russian Sputnik V are the only two vaccine producers to take part in a preliminary meeting held by the Telangana government to obtain 10 million doses COVID-19 vaccinations, although the participation of some trade representatives was seen at the conference, sources said Thursday.
The meeting before the bid was held on 26 May.
The last date to submit the quote is June 4th.
Telangana recently issued a global e-tender notice for the acquisition of ten million doses COVID-19 vaccine from manufacturers or their agents in case of imported samples.
“Representatives of AstraZeneca and Sputnik V participated, although some trade representatives also participated in the preliminary meeting,” sources close to the development told PTI.
Bidders may also quote their offers to deliver the vaccine in part, provided the monthly stock is not less than 1.5 million and the total supply of 10 million doses will be completed within six months of the issuance of the Intent Letter (LOI) be. according to the tender document.
A vaccine supplier must meet the standards set by the Drug Control General of India for the jabs, sources added.
AstraZeneca sells two COVID-19 vaccines.

The Russian Direct Investment Fund has entered into an agreement with Dr Reddy’s Laboratories for the first dose of 125 million people (250 million bottles) of Sputnik V in India.
