AirFiber Networks picks Nokia GPON service for fiber expansion in India

AirFiber Networks, an internet service provider (ISP) in Bangalore and Tamil Nadu in South India, has adopted Nokia's broadband services to launch data services and expand its network. Nokia's Gigabit Passive Optical Networking (GPON) service is designed to enable AirFiber Networks to provide broadband services in Bangalore and underpenetrated areas across the state of Tamil Nadu, aiming to reach over 100,000 subscribers in one year. The deployment will start in April and is scheduled for completion over the next few months.
