COVID-19: Relative patient’s family member attacks corporate hospital

Hyderabad: Tension reigned in a corporate hospital under the Panjagutta police station after the family of a deceased person COVID-19 allegedly looted the hospital and attacked the staff.

On May 9 this year, Vamshi Krishna, a software engineer and resident of Boduppal, was admitted to Vrinchi Hospital in Banjara Hills after being found infected. corona virus. During the treatment, the patient died, after which the family of the doctors got a second opinion about the treatment that Vamsi gave. The doctor reportedly said that the patient was not treated properly in the hospital.

After learning of this, as many as a group of 15 Vamsi family members entered the hospital on Thursday night and allegedly damaged the front office and the furniture of the hospital. Few members of the hospital staff were also attacked.

The hospital management immediately notified the local police station whereupon a team from the Panjagutta police station reached the scene and arrested all the relatives of the deceased patient.

A case was registered with the Panjagutta police station and the family members were arrested and brought before the court.
