27 May 2021 0

Alongside the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G smartphone, a new pair of true wireless stereo earbuds have also been launched. These are the new Redmi AirDots 3 Pro that is the successor to the Redmi AirDots 3 that were launched in China in February. The main highlights of the Pro version are active noise cancellation (ANC), wireless charging, and ultra-low latency listening mode.

Redmi AirDots 3 feature a compact design similar to the vanilla AirDots 3. The charging case, however, has a different shape.

Under the hood, the Redmi AirDots 3 Pro earbuds have a 9mm driver that features four adjustable sound effects. Redmi touts the ANC mode can decrease outside noises by 35dB. The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.2 which allows simultaneous connection to two separate devices.

The AirDots 3 Pro packs a 35mAh battery capacity that can deliver up to 6 hours of playback (on earbuds alone), 3 hours if you’re using ANC, while the charging case brings a 470mAh battery for a total of 28 hours of usage. The USB-C port is used to draw power but the earbuds also support a Qi-compatible charger for wire-free charging.

Redmi AirDots 3 Pro are IPX4 rated, which means they are resistant to water splashes from any direction. They feature low latency audio with 69ms latency.

The earbuds come in Ice Crystal Ash and Obsidian Black colors. They are priced at CNY 299 ($47) and currently up for pre-order via JD.com and will go on sale in China starting June 11.

It is currently unknown whether or not Xiaomi has planned to bring them globally.
